The problem
Are all your Google Analytics 4 reports really being displayed?
If you're looking for a specific report, like the 'Events report,' but can't find it in your Google Analytics property's Reports section, keep reading.
Although these reports are pre-built or standard, the property's Administrator/Editor can tailor which ones your team sees. Because of this customization, some Google Analytics properties you encounter may have unique report combinations.
There are a few possibilities for why a report could be missing in your property:
- Specific objectives were selected by the property's creator during the Analytics' property setup. These objective may not include the reports you were expecting to see.
- A collection was unpublished by the property's Editor or Administrator

Solutions
Let's look at some options to accessing these hidden reports:
Option 1 (permanent solution)
If this is a report you would need to check on a regular basis, then it's worth letting your Editor/Administrator have this report enabled on the specific Google Analytics 4 property. You can contact them to publish the collection or ask them to add the specific report to an existing collection.
Option 2 (temporary solution)
If you need to make a quick check on this report, proceed with this option. Don't worry, this will not break the Google Analytics property or make any permanent changes.
1. Create your own Google Analytics account and property
2. During property creation and setup, ensure to select the objective/collection you are interested in (since you are now the Administrator or Editor)
3. In your new property, open the report that you need e.g. "Events report". And to no surprise, there won't be any data, but bear with me!
4. Copy the entire URL from your browser's bar and paste it somewhere (a text editor, or a new browser tab).
a. Here's an example to observe what was copied:
https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/#/p12345678/reports/explorer?params=_u ..nav%3Dmaui&r=top-events&ruid=C5510EF0-0DF2-4FBD-903B-5649FFC56387&collecti onId=9760058240
5. Open the original Google Analytics 4 property with the missing report in a new tab
6. Copy the highlighted part of the URL (see example below)
a. Here's an example to observe what was copied:https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/#/p987654321/reports/intelligenthome ?params=_u..nav%3Dmaui
7. Now replace the highlighted URL (see 6a) from the original Google Analytics 4 property with the highlighted URL (see 4a example) from your Google Analytics 4 property
a. Here's an example of the edited URL:https://analytics.google.com/analytics/web/#/p987654321/reports/explorer?param s=_u..nav%3Dmaui&r=top-events&ruid=C5510EF0-0DF2-4FBD-903B-5649FFC56387&co llectionId=9760058240
8. Now you can copy the modified URL in step 7 and enter it in your browser to navigate to it.
9. You should now be able to see the "missing" report.
Note: To revisit this report, simply bookmark it as the above steps will not add it to the Google Analytics 4 property.
From this mini guide we learn that Google Analytics 4 reports can accessed and updated by modifying parts of the URL such as page path, and the query parameters.
